HYR Grappling is a kids-only Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy about 15 minutes up Route 28 in Chantilly. One program for ages 7–17, two world-class coaches, and no adult classes competing for mat time or attention.
No adult program sharing the schedule, the mats, or the coaches. Every class at HYR is for kids and teens ages 7–17 — that's the whole academy. See the program.
Tuesday and Thursday classes run 5:00–6:00 PM — leave Centreville after school pickup and you're on time, home before dinner. Saturday morning rounds out the week. Full schedule.
Head Coach Cameron Hurd is a 2025 ADCC National Champion, ranked #17 in the world by FloGrappling. Coach Lyndon Yates is a full-time youth specialist. Meet the coaches.
Take Route 28 North toward Chantilly and exit near the Route 50 interchange — the gym is just off Route 50 at 14740 Flint Lee Road, with parking out front. From Sully Station, Virginia Run, or Centre Ridge, most families make it in 10 to 15 minutes outside of rush hour.
Parents are welcome to watch from the side of the room at every class — plenty of Centreville parents treat it as a built-in hour to catch up on email.
All classes are ages 7–17, beginners welcome at any of them. Full schedule
The first class is free, and there’s no commitment after it. Pick a time below — it takes about 45 seconds.
HYR families also drive in from Fairfax, Oak Hill, and South Riding.
